Gospel Sing and Ice Cream Fellowship
This was our first annual Gospel Sing and Ice Cream fellowship and it proved to be a great success. The chancel choir lead the congregation in old fashion hymns and gospel tunes and members of the congregation shared memories and meaningful moments from CHUMC's past and present.
After the gospel sing, we enjoyed ice cream and cakes prepared by the finest cooks in the church. We held a "Buddy Crocker" cake bake-off where each cake was judged by how much money cake eaters were willing to donate to that particular cake. We raised over $377 for our air conditioning fund. Coincidentally, the congregation also gained a collective 377 pounds.
